Botanical Drawings

What a busy start to Term 4! We’ve had Science day, Italian rotations and started our unit on Plants. Such wonderful learning happening in the 1/2s!

One activity over the last few weeks even saw some of the 1/2s doing some scientific drawings! After looking at some botanical drawings of native Australian plants were inspired to try ourselves. We went out into the lovely Bell garden and closely observed plants in the front area of the school. We saw different shapes, colours, stems, leaves, flowers, grass, petals and textures. We even found teeny tiny blue flowers in the grass! Then we carefully drew what we saw. Here are some of our beautiful creations.
